Last week Junior High track won both the boys and girls titles for their divisions / Girls finish the season a perfect 6—0 / while the boys team finished 5-1
MONDAY NIGHT the JV track boys and girls teams won the district titles
FOR THE GIRLS TEAM:
Riley Bittenbender earned the most medals, she got 4 medals. Winning 2 gold medals in the long jump and 4x100 relay team. Riley finished 2nd in the 200m and 3rd in the 100m
On the gold medal winning 4x100 relay team with Riley was Kennedy Bittenbender and Alana Carachilo.
Bella Noreika earned 3 medals on the night. Winning a gold medal with the 4x800 relay team and got two silver medals for the 1600m and 800m races.
On the gold medal winning 4x800 relay team with Bella was Paris Morante and Grace Rodriguez.
Lanee Olson earned 2 medals at districts. Winning gold in the triple jump and getting second in the long jump.
Lily Rodiguez picked up a silver medal during the event, being a member of the 4x400 relay team that finished 2nd. Lily also picked up points on the evening finishing 7th in the 400m race.
Other girls who earned points throughout the event to help the team earn the district championship were Kamryn Alers who finished 6th in the 400 m, Finley Bittenbender who finished 4th in shot put & 8th in discuss, and Quinn Moran who finished 5th in triple jump.
FOR THE BOYS
Cooper Huyser earned a bronze medal on the evening, being a member of the 4x100 relay team that finished 3rd. Cooper also finished 5th twice on the night in the 100m and 200m races.
Taron Guerrier also earned a bronze medal, being a member of the 4x400 relay team that finished 3rd. Taron also finished 8th in the 800m race.
Brian McCormack earned a bronze medal too, being a member of the 4x800 relay team that finished 3rd. Brian also finished 5th in the 1600m race.
Jeet Patel also participated at the event in the triple jump.
